Hasbro, a branded play company with beloved brands such as Transformers, Playskool and Monopoly, is in the middle of reinventing its rich media and digital asset management (DAM) strategy, using OpenText Media Management (OTMM). They currently develop, promote and distribute 150 active brands at any given time. There are also 1,500 brands stored in its vaults that are not in production but might be revived in the future (think Stretch Armstrong). Hasbro aims to ensure its brands such as My Little Pony, G.I. Joe, Tonka and the entire Milton Bradley game family are universally and easily identifiable to its marketers, distributors and retail partners worldwide. It’s a key aspect of its overall enterprise content management (ECM) program. Monitoring and distributing content and managing assets is a huge undertaking.
