Moving Social Media out of Marketing

This webcast will demonstrate that social media is no longer solely the responsibility of the marketing department. But, rather, when a company authentically expands ownership to its employees and its customers—it becomes a companywide initiative with results that are truly magnified.

In early February 2010, The Stelter Company launched “Bestow”, a community space for Fundraising Professionals, using Open Text Social Media (formerly Vignette Social Media). As the leading provider of marketing services to the charitable community, The Stelter Company helps more than 2,600 nonprofits nationwide raise funds primarily through deferred giving options, such as bequests, charitable trusts, and charitable annuities.

Stelter decided early on that in order to achieve the results they wanted, this initiative was not the responsibility of one department but a company wide effort. Bestow has provided Fundraising Professionals a forum through which they can find and share insight, innovation and ideas.
